I’ve long been a fan of adventurous hikes and loose leaf tea so this next destination holds a special place in my heart. Mt. Huashan, one of the Sacred Mountains of China, is home to a stunning trail that takes you up to the south peak. There you’re treated with a fantastic view, a relaxing pavilion, and an old Taoist temple turned tea shop.
Mt. Huashan seems easiest to access via flying into Xian. From there you’ll have about 120 km of travel to access the entrance for this hike. The climb itself is somewhat treacherous looking, but there are plenty of safety measures taken so there’s no need to worry.
